My charming home-town, is located southeast of Cleveland, OH, and about 27 miles south of Lake Erie. This unique village has a "Connecticut"atmosphere, with its architecture, ambiance, and a waterfall in the middle of town.  Popcorn and ice cream are the favorite of strolling visitors. Quaint boutiques and art galleries grace the downtown area (only three blocks long).  A horse-drawn carriage takes visitors on a tour of the historic district in the spring, summer and fall. Tourists take home paintings, prints and notecards of this charming place. Come and enjoy!

It's Blossom Time!

Just before Memorial Day Weekend, Chagrin Falls has a "Blossom Time" Festival, with carnival rides, hot-air balloon races, and a very popular parade from the highschool all the way down to the middle of town.on watercolor canvas

This painting depicts the raising of the balloons each evening behind the Middle School. It has become quite a popular event. People bring their lawn chairs and blankets, and hot dogs and real dogs! If the weather is too windy, they just inflate and tether the balloons to thrill the crowd.

Chagrin Falls, The New Look

In 2005, Chagrin Falls set on a mission to bury all wires in the downtown area to give the village a clean look. With the addition of antique style light poles, and brick crosswalks for the pedestrians, and flower beds along the sidewalks, we now have a colorful village. This is a winter scene, but the flower beds can be seen in the summer scene of the Popcorn Shop below.
